"Stayed at Riu Vallarta for 4 days as part of a 12 day trip in Puerto Vallarta (stayed at the Riu Jalisco for the other 8 days). Vallarta is a step up from the Jalisco in almost every way. Property is closer to the beach so it is not a long walk from your room to the beach. Crowds weren't too bad but you did have to get up early to claim a chair near the pools. Food options are good with a buffet and 4 restaurants. Biggest complaint I would have would be with the room refrigerator restock. We...

"The hotel itself was nice but the all inclusive was lackluster. Almost an hour to get a very limited room service menu delivery. Food options very limited overall. Spa was nice but service there felt like they were novices. "

"Excellent location by the beach. Food is great with a lot of varieties to choose from. Staff are awesome especially to Norma and team , our cleaning lady and room service; Danae , Jaime and team at the chivechiria bar, Raf Ael and marirose at the breakfast and Alejandro in the Italian resto. There's not a lot of activities in the resort, but its a nice place to just relax."
