"Loved the resort, the staff, and the vibe. The only reason I might think twice before I book my next trip there is the restaurants on the resort. Although, the food was very good, the prices are outrageous. Everything is very overpriced. I paid $125 USD for a small piece of steak! And a $100 USD for one fish. "
"We just spent a week here and had 3 of the swim up rooms. THEY'RE AWESOME. Bring shoes for swimming in the ocean, the sand is sharp and hurts. The pools were nice but they need more chairs around them. Head down to the beach - there are open chairs and bars there. The restaurants were good. The rooms had AC. They are a bit stingy with the AC in the restaurants.....we were sweating more than once. Also, reserve your spot at the restaurants before your trip, there's not much availability once you're there. Food was great at the restaurants. Buffets were what I would expect. The staff is great! Beautiful property with Capybara, Coati, and some sort of havelina. loved it. "

"lets just start with one word, STAFF!!!I have never stayed at any resort anywhere in the world with such an amazing staff, this was my first time and definitley will be back because of them, is it everything ?no , what can be worked in is the beach loungers , they are horrible and old , need to be more comfortable on that beautiful beach, second the pools need some work , and lastley the food at breakfast was not good , always look forwars to breakfast and had to settle with pbandj sandwich , but the snack bar at lunch is fantastic as is the specialty restaurants and if you are a sushi lover this is the place for you , rooms are comfy and any issue you may have is worked on ASAP , with smiles!!! again have stayed at many resorts in Riviera Maya and they are huge and love them but Akumal Bay felt like i was leaving home , they make you feel that good so because of that wonderful amazing beautiful staff we will be back as soon as we can !!! Thank you so much , if you guys only knew how bad my husband and i needed this , hugs to you all , till we see you again!!!

"Grand Sirenis is a dream come true, and feels like home away from home. I am so glad we chose to stay at this resort. From the safety of the guests, to the access to shuttles and amenities, comfortability of the beds, great entertainment, ease of booking amazing excursions, friendly staff, bilingual ability, great drinks, even better food, etc. I was so sad to leave. Hoping to come back at the next available chance. We loved it, and highly recommend if you’re looking for your own dream come true in Mexico, you’ll book at this resort. "

"Room could use some renovation as well as the jacuzzi and the yard could get some cleaning from falling branches . Properly itself is gorgeous but far from their other properties. The good thing is the other properties is accessible ."
