"The location of this hotel is perfect…close enough to walk to everything but away from the biggest crowds. "After being given a very small room we were delivered to be upgraded to a much nicer room with a beautiful view and big balcony. Sadly only stayed for two nights but would have welcomed being given the bigger room on are. It’s a stunning location and the hotel is steeped in history but it’s the most expensive hotel we’ve stayed in… and in addition we had to pay extra for breakfast! Which was lovely but really £1k for a small room and breakfast not included! "

"This is a gem of a loggia, not inexpensive, but well worth the cost. The building dates to 1700 and is situated adjacent to the yellow archway at the top of town. Each booking includes one of the old parlours converted into a small apartment with a sleeping loft. There are still original frescoes on the ceilings. The in-room breakfast was very good for Italy (fresh fruit salad, juice, coffee, yogurt and granola, and a small sandwich). It was a bit difficult to drive to using Google Maps and Apple Maps, as you must enter by crossing the Garibaldi bridge or you will get lost in a maze of one-way streets and pedestrian traffic.
