"For Sheffield the Jurys Inn is pretty decent, central if you're heading out and need somewhere to fall into in the early hours. I did however stay at the Birmingham one a few days before this trip and the Midlands version is just superior. Nothing groundbreaking but little things like not having an omelette chef at breakfast or a mini fridge in the room or a better shower just puts it below it's midlands cousin. "My partner and I booked a suite at the Novotel for 2 days as we were visiting Sheffield to watch the World Snooker Semi Finals. The hotel could hardly be better situated for the snooker as it is a 5 minute walk from the Crucible Theatre, right next door to the Winter Gardens. "Rooms are quite nice, enough room for a few days for the clothes. Shower/toilet room nice size, shower was lovely. Room was very warm, no water in the room and pillows were far too soft, although there were two each. It’s about 15 minutes walk to town, which was nice. Leeds was nice place to spend the weekend."

"Check in was very efficient and the staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and well equipped. The fan in the bathroom did not work so the mirrors were very steamed up. Breakfast was pleasant and good choice available. Check out staff lovely. One night stay for a theatre visit and this was in easy walking distance.
