"Doubletree is adjacent to Little Tokyo and between 2 Metro stations. For DTLA, it’s a safer alternative to the historic core. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly, and there is an intriguing garden area at the hotel, which is like an oasis amidst the urban sprawl. There’s a nice little coffee spot around the corner inside the Miyako Hotel, and Little Tokyo itself has a nice variety of cafes, stores, and bakeries. Downtown is walkable to Grand Central Market. Plus, the Metro at 1st and Alameda takes you all the way to Santa Monica. I’ll be returning the next time I venture to Los Angeles."

"The staff are amazing here. Property is well maintained. Rooms are clean. Courtesy car service within 2.5 mile car radius was very helpful to us on two occasions. "

"The hotel was very nice! Clean, and a great staff working there. Room was of decent size with two queen beds. Bed was comfortable except for the pillows. The pillows were thin and went flat. The bathroom was nice and spacious, but had a rolling barn door. I've discovered I don't care for that since I was visiting LA with my teenage son. He and I both felt like it didn't shut enough to give us the privacy we prefer. Plus, the door would occasionally catch if shut too hard and you became stuck in the bathroom. Overall, though, a nice, quiet place to stay while in LA"
