"A mid week mini break for my husband and I. I stayed in the Hideout several years previously and found the apartment to be what I expected it to be. Location in medieval part was ideal for exploring Hull. It is a short walk to the train station and there are several small independent cafes close by. "I love village hotels. I think they're the best chain to stay in. Always good standards with great facilities. However, although we had a nice stay, and the staff as always were great, this one has seen much better days. It was very worn and looked tired. The carpets throughout need replacing. Wallpaper was coming off the walls in the halls. Our rooms were nice, but just need a bit of tlc. A nice stay, but the hotel needs some love"

"Lovely break away overnight for me and sisters birthday had lovely time all staff very welcome and friendly. Evening meal was excellent and breakfast was good choice to choose from. Room was excellent bed very comfy and looked out onto trees which was lovely seeing birds and squirrels couldn’t have asked for a better night away. Having mobility issues i found no problems with getting around hotel with walking aid . Thank you for a lovely stay . "
