"I love village hotels. I think they're the best chain to stay in. Always good standards with great facilities. However, although we had a nice stay, and the staff as always were great, this one has seen much better days. It was very worn and looked tired. The carpets throughout need replacing. Wallpaper was coming off the walls in the halls. Our rooms were nice, but just need a bit of tlc. A nice stay, but the hotel needs some love"

Small points to mention, towels are small, and we had no soap in the bathroom, toilet seat was dirty, had to wash it before I could use it. "Perfect location to visit Hull Uni. Parking available. Room was Ok but one ceiling light was not working. The bathroom was clean but needed some t.l.c. Bedroom was a good size and clean. good facilities. bed mattress was too soft for my wife and I but comfortable. Outside lights to the back of the property were still on around 1..30 pm which disturbed our sleep pattern a bit. "We had 2 large rooms for a family break. Hosts were very welcoming and went that extra mile to make us feel at home. Tasty vegan breakfasts went down with group and the availability of the breakfast room during the day was also useful. Very comfy beds. Nice to see the various friendly rescue animals / pets. Location is in a quiet street which is a few minutes walk from regular bus services to city centre / pubs / food. We plan to return."

"Very helpful and friendly owners, great location for visiting our new granddaughter. 2 mins walk to lovely Pearsons park. Some lovely welcoming items, lots of fresh fruit, bread, butter, milk and cake all vegan as owners are, a couple of things i would suggest is maybe a door curtain could be put in place as there was no privacy going from the bathroom across the kitchen to the bedroom also there was no smoke alarm present. All in all a nice stay 👍 "
