"Very Disappointing Stay – Not Recommended This is by far one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. The experience has been extremely disappointing. There is no clean or safe pool available for kids, and there are no activities or events as expected from a hotel like this. The pool areas, especially those near construction zones, feel unsafe and poorly maintained. The overall condition raises serious concerns about cleanliness and health standards. The staff and management do not seem to address these issues or show concern for guests’ comfort and safety. To make matters worse, the main dinner restaurant is practically unavailable. We were told it is “reservation only,” but when we tried to book, there was no availability for the entire week. This is completely unacceptable and very frustrating. You come here expecting to relax and enjoy your vacation, but instead you end up dealing with stress and disappointment."

"We did not have a good experience this time around. On our first day we complain about the shower not working correctly and or fridge was not stocked. Maintenance came out and did say shower was not working. They moved us room 455 to 855 with a horrible view. The following day the call us to the front desk and insisted we pay for a broken television and a crack phone. Wow! Mind you we didn't get into our room till 8pm. They told me and my wife we were to pay $500 US dollars or the police would be called to make a report and escort us off the property. We had 9 other family members staying there and didn't want to ruin our family vacation so im out $500\. On top of that 4 of our group got food poisoning from what we narrowed down to the Japanese restaurant. I will not be staying on this property again and will not recommend it to anyone. "

"Just got back from a 5 night stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, especially for nightly diners for our large group, and drinks at all the bars. The food was really nothing to write home about, but edible. You must wear a wristband on this property and if you lose it or it comes off, you are required to pay $140 at checkout. This was definitely a negative for me, as I usually never wear anything on my wrists, was super worried about it, and can still feel it on my skin even though I’ve been home for over a day. The hotel itself was subpar, but we were told that this property is getting a total overhaul in a week or two, so hopefully it will look refreshed soon, otherwise I’d pass on staying here. There was a nice Cancun sign on a pier right next to the property, but we weren’t allowed to go on it to take a picture without being charged $3 per person (no way Jose!). A shame that the resort itself didn’t have some type of large letters to pose in front of as many other resorts do. The highlight for us was being able to attend the Riu Parties held at the Riu Caribe right next door (walk over) and have access to that resort, as it was much more modern and seemed to have many more amenities."

"You will get tormented unless you do the “Orientation Meeting”. Called our rooms 8:30 and for 2 days until I disconnected the phone. This turned us off the very 1st day. Most staff are friendly but many aren’t into it. Bartenders are slow and have conversations between themselves when there are lineups. Be prepared to be spoken to like a child. Food is abundant but buffet is not great. Japanese restaurant"

"This hotel is really good. The staff is amazing, Reina at the front desk, Claudia at the coffee shop and Chef Ernesto really tried their best to make us feel appreciated. I like the food variety at the Buffet. There are 4 restaurants and tge food was good. Overall everything was great. The only things I would improve are the recreation activities and the rooms need a makeover. However everything was cleaned. I strongly recommend this hotel"
