"one of the best authenic japanese seafood dinner and breakfast ever had. not for the picky eater. raw fish and seafood caught right off the shores of the hotel. older hotel with a beautiful beach right in front. if not a raw fish seafood eater, shimoda town wth quite a range of restaurants including italian and western fare. unreal indoor private bath or large public bath with excellent views. great if you want to go native!"

"Great place to stay. Hotel is in a secluded spot with great views and facilities. Sitting down in the onsen bath overlooking the ocean after a hard day travelling. Could not think of anything better. Only small down side is that you need to drive to access restaurants, and convenience stores. Hotel has a restraunt but need to pre book so plan for this.
