"Room not ready so were invited for a glass of fizz. Room up some very steep stairs do not get room 23! Breakfast disappointing as the hot breakfast was cold and the bacon and poached eggs were overcooked. Wish we had stuck to the buffet after paying £300 for a night expected a better meal as we were then paying another £40. Decor amazing staff lovely and spa very nice . "If you like the feeling of visiting older relatives, this house was okay. The location was good, especially if you want to visit Kew Gardens, which I highly recommend. It is also half way between Heathrow and London sites. As mentioned, it is old and needs updating. It was strange to have so many family belongings still in the house.
