"The area around the hotel is nice with excellent bars and public transportation but the very front of the property needs attention and cleaning. The side walk is dirty and planters are unattended and holding garbage. It’s the only hotel that I have stayed in many years that doesn’t offer free wifi, I finally got it but after almost begging and bribing for it. A wonderful stay
"Overall my nephew and I, who each had single rooms - found the hotel to be wonderful. The atmosphere, location, friendly and competent staff, flexibility, lounge area on top floor and more were all quite appreciated. One thing missing in room is a surface to open luggage. The room is small so perhaps a drop-down sturdy shelf might work. One complaint is that it was impossible for either of us to figure out how to get the fan and/or ac to work. The room needed ventilation when shutters were closed at night. I asked staff on the first day and she said since the green light was on it meant it was working. Only the last night when the room was so stuffy did I take a chance and called the front desk.In two seconds it was turned on by the staff downstairs late at night. So this is a heads up to ask about the air. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again myself."
