"First we were told that we were upgraded for free to a room with a view of the River and of Ponte Vecchio. That was already a win!!! The view from the hotel room was so so beautiful. The staff were super friendly and polite and professional. The next best thing about the hotel is the buffet breakfast spread! Of all the hotels we stayed in Italy, this hotel had the best breakfast spread and the food was great quality. We especially enjoyed the variety of pastries that were nicer than those cafes...

He also gave some great suggestions as to different places for us to try over the bridge which were slightly off the beaten track (as we have been to Florence before).
