"There was no mention from Expedia or the hotel that I needed a copy of my passport. They would not let me in until I could provide a copy. Along with that, the A/C unit blew directly on to the bed. This meant I either slept with cold air blowing on me or the room was too hot and humid. "

"Single room is very basic and doesnt look like photos. Windows have gaps. Many mosquitos get into the room. Staff kept asking for tips. 1st employee asked for tip when i requested soap. Concierge asked for tip when i requested toilet paper. At midnight 12 am 1st employee banged loudly on my door while i was sleeping and turned the handle while attempting to enter room. After i woke up and opened the door he told me the reason for his midnight banging: he wanted a tip. I chased him to the office....

"Make sure you make use of their free, friendly , prompt airport shuttle as traffic in Dhaka is guaranteed the worst in the world. No really. Dhaka is a surprisingly expensive city to stay in too, for the basic modest comfort that you get. Staff is very friendly typical of this AMAZING country). There is an elevator but occasional power off/on outbursts. Never off for more than a second or two so I suspect they have a generator. Breakfast was Indian/Bangali with some hard boiled eggs and toast...
