"This property is not upscale but my stay was fine. Room was clean, hot water hot, and mattress acceptable. It was substantially less expensive than anything near it. It is at a busy intersection for near lake front property so there was some road noise during the night, but the place was better than I expected and much better than I feared it could have been."

"My family and I stayed here for a weekend ski trip to Northstar and it was everything we needed. The room was very clean and much larger than I thought it would be. The beds had a ton of blankets, with extras available "just in case". The heater worked amazing and the in-room coffee was offered in actual coffee cups, which was a pleasant surprise. The wifi was strong and free.
Ed at the front desk was friendly, prompt and he had great recommendations for places to eat in the area and things to do. The hotel is SUPER conveniently located. It took us 13 minutes to get to Northstar in the morning, which is hard to beat. There is a cute local bistro a 3 minute walk which was great for dinner and the Old Post Office Cafe (great breakfast!!) is a 6 minute walk. If you want something fancier, Gar Woods Grill is right across the street.
The best part about the hotel is the view. It is right across the street from the lake. We opened the curtains to our room and watched the sun rise over the lake. It was amazing. I'd stay here again, just for that.
It is an older hotel and it has not been updated in long time. If you are looking for frills or a fancy hotel room, this is not the place for you. If you want a clean, comfortable room, this is it. My only issue was that the pillows are very flat. Easy solve to either double up or bring your own.
The hotel was everything we needed and we will be back."
