"We got in late. Bar restaurant closes at 9 although many people still arriving. Maybe the bar needs to stay open a bit longer to accommodate guests. After long flight and no dinner it would have been nice to have a snack and a glass of wine. "

"I think the best part of the experience was the bellhop. Getting greeted by the door and a dude in a long coat. And a cap makes you feel like you are in old school east coast Boston. Offered to take my bag to the counter right from getting out of my cab.
Staff check in was easy. Got a bottle of water. Bathroom had good conditioner, shampoo and shower gel. The hotel is supposedly the oldest operating hotel in Boston. I do like that they kept a lot of the original fuel to the hotel, but sometimes it's nice to have a little bit of an update. For the price the hotel was, it was really pricey but I think it was because of graduation week. The room could stand to use more updated and accessible plugs coming out of the lamps with USB or power for a laptops and modern tech. People have to travel with. My view kind of sucked, but I was only there for the night to sleep. It remind of some old school hotel in Portugal's coast or something. The bathrooms were nicely updated though. Maybe it's just the carpeting looking old school."
