"Property is right on the beach and the staff was very friendly. We didn't see any bugs, the AC worked, and the bed was okay. Those are the pros. The cons... I was disappointed overall. This is not what i expected from a Wingate by Wyndham property. It wasn't the cleanest. The hallways, stairs, and walls were all a little grotty. We only stayed one night and so it was bareable, but i will not be reserving this hotel in the future for our stays in Galveston."

"Love the place! It's pleasantly clean and spacious, and offers many amenities. The staff is super helpful and they know their jobs very well! The price is so good with such a place! The room looks exactly like the picture. It is just 10-minute walk from the nearest bus stop and around 17 minute drive from downtown. To the manager and staff, keep up the good work! "

"This is my second year coming to this hotel and it won’t be the last! The staff is so friendly and very helpful, plus they are there 24/7!! The rooms are very clean and are big enough to hold all of our beach gear plus luggage. The breakfast is awesome and has tons of options for the pickiest of eaters. The pool is really clean and has a few enclosed cabanas inside the pool area that are super comfy. They also have two cabanas outside the pool area with several seating choices with and without...

"I really like the location of this hotel. Walking distance to a major park and museums. It is apparently very dog friendly because I saw a lot of dogs during my stay. The only reason I did not give the property 5 starts is because I found the decor to be sort of weird. It’s dark and I’m not sure the vibe they are going for. Maybe Alice in Wonderland meets old Hollywood meets weird art on the walls. But to each their own. "
