The housekeeper will always adjust your thermostat to 22, but it needs to be left at its lowest setting if 18.5C to keep the room comfortable (adjust the fan level instead). Our keys frequently stopped working to unlock the door, twice after being just made at the front desk just before heading upstairs to the room. Baffled even the staff that needed to accompany you to make sure the new key could open the door: NOT"

"This is the second Barceló hotel we have stayed in this year, the other one at Marrakech. This one is Istanbul is also excellent, friendly attentive staff, central location but not too near the noise of Taksim Square. We were upgraded to deluxe room over looking the city scape. Taksim Square is couple of minutes walk with the buzz and access to trams and streets for shopaholics and restaurants. You can easily walk to the Karakoy and across the Galata Bridge to the old town area of Istanbul...
