"When we arrived at William's property we were so happy that we had booked it. It was absolutely perfect for our family. Plenty of space, close to the beach and strip of Bondi, bus in both directions outside and a Nespresso Machine. The communication from William before and during our stay was really appreciated and he was making sure we had everything we needed. The property was nice and spacious for us with a nice big washing machine and plenty of drying space. We cooked breakfast each morning...

"A perfect place for a single or a couple to get away from the city. Property was clean and tidy, with ample facilities. Even had fresh milk in the fridge! Along with many other things in the pantry. All facilities were great, only wish there was air conditioning and more ventilation but otherwise. 💯 Would stay again for sure."

"We loved our mini break at House on a Rock - the house is lovely, the location incredible - amazing views of this beautiful part of the world. The location does mean access is tricky - challenging when you arrive with luggage and provisions for your stay. Not such an issue for us and the kids but it was not the easiest for my 85 year old Mother!! We all agree - House on a Rock was worth the effort. All in all - this is a special place and we hope to return."

"As a family from the country visiting Sydney for the first time, the 3 bedroom terrace added an extra charm of experiencing life in the city. Location was perfect with a easy walk to public transport. Very little road noise. The local pub down the road offered an easy solution for a quick meal when tired from sightseeing. Only downside, the neighbor next door with their very squeaky gate."

"The place was great, clean, and in an awesome neighbourhood. The hosts got back to me quickly and we had a lovely time. There are plenty of coffee shops and bars near by. Only thing I would mention is that the main floor bathroom is a bit of a "Harry Potter" closet - didn't give us any problems but something to note! Parking on the street can be tricky... but that's Sydney!"

"The good: Property is nicely renovated on the ground floor. The location is great - close to the Rocks and Circle quay. The neighborhood is full of nice little restaurants and bars. The bad: Heat! There is no air conditioning (which is correctly not listed as an amenity). There some small in effective fans and a small floor cooling unit on the ground floor (which barely moves the slightly chilled air it creates). Even opening windows to try to allow for a cross draft did not cool the...

"Some negative reviews have been listed with regards to the bathroom and communications with the host. Personally all my questions were answered promptly, and the host was kind enough to let us drop our bags off at the property when her cleaners were in to save us carrying them until check in time. "This terrible property flooded in the basement causing damage to our clothes, luggage and personal electronics (eg. phones). The roof leaked causing further water damage on the top floor. This caused extremely unsafe conditions. Twice people fell due to wet floors. There are more issues with this property than I care to list. I have included some examples below. "Good location, a block down from the Town Hall and right opposite the ramp to head to Darling Harbour. The property is a bit old and tired but the rooms were spotlessly clean and quite livable. Had a gym and pool but I'd rate this as a 3 star hotel not a 4 star. That all said, I was quite happy to stay here. It does look like the owners are continuing to improve an older property. My apartment had cooking and laundry facilities which was good."
