Only thing that upsets me is that if i meet a girl and bring her to my hotel even for an hour or two they charge me 2000 mxn which is insane. This is the only reason i dont stay here for weeks as a single man.

We hated the deafening music from about midday at the rooftop bar … it was ridiculous. In the afternoon my wife and I wanted to relax and chill , we couldn’t even talk to each other … it was like being in a nightclub . We would have used the facility and spent money but it was too loud to enjoy….. ☹️

The hotel only has one real restaurant. Not enough to be charging $100 per day per couple. Mgmt not available or visible. They upcharge visiting other resorts now. Was included 6 mos ago. Not enjoyable or good experience.

Property has a great location. Roof top pool and a view of the ocean. I would say the food is just mediocre as are the drinks. Cheap tasting tequila, vodka and wine. Yes - I tried all 3. Liked the water dispensers in the hallways and the DJ on the rooftop was outstanding. We got upgraded to a master suite, which was great, but there was a musty smell the whole night that I had a hard time sleeping. Glad I only stayed one night. Appreciated the effort, but it fell short of my expectations or what it offered in the explanation of the property.

Property was under construction and only had one restaurant open. There is an extra fee for everything even if you purchased the all inclusive package. The AC was out during our stay and the power would flick off and on. It’s was the worst stay. If you’re going to Cancún stay in Cancun not playa de Carmen.

I like the Reef 28, super smooth checkin process from Canada. Thanks to the staff, rooftop dj Juan is good.area is just off a busy 5th street and right by the beach. Wasn’t able to watch Tv but I heard that’s a “Mexican” problem other than that stay was so amazing

Overall, our stay at the hotel was good. Louis and Anel from the rooftop bar were the best part of our stay. These two always went above and beyond in accommodating us. Most importantly they treated us like friends and really made us enjoy being in the hotel. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay, budget friendly with some amenities, this is a great option. Really wish they had some sort of laundry options, as that screwed us up after the beach.
