"Loved this place on an unexpected stay in Portland due to bad weather in the mountains. Location is great for food and shopping, and seemed to be a good jumping off spot for downtown activities. The staff was helpful and kind, and room was everything we needed at a good price. "

"NOTE: this is a two star hotel! Saying that, staff are the best. Quick check in, happy, asked every time they saw me if there was anything they could do, etc. Nothing the hotel can do but the area around this hotel is rough to say the least. They keep the parking area and hotel safe but I don’t recommend an evening or night walk as there is a large tent city near the hotel. I’ve never had any problems and all my encounters with the homeless were very cordial but you never know. Hotel is well kept but is older and thus has a 70’s style room layout. Rooms are large, beds are very comfortable and the location for me is excellent. "

"Very spacious room with sofa and desk area. Very comfortable king sized bed. Spacious entrance lobby with coffee/ tea and cooled water to drink as well as plenty of chairs. Large retro 4 person pacman machine. The hotel is central to the town and very easy access to the rail station and with very close access to all key rail/streetcar and buses. Immediately to riverside of the hotel is an excellent food cart site with many interesting options. Great value. "
