I understand getting away from it all in the beautiful country, but to have no internet was disappointing. The breakfast was made and left in fridge before we arrived. "Villa Maude is an exquisite jewel nestled in Virginia's "horse country" with a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I stayed in the Van Gogh room, and it was most comfortable. The host, Maude, was very accommodating. Darla, the dog, after a couple of obligatory barks (dutifully protecting the manse) was a real sweetheart. "Loved the fact that the inn is old and historic. Room was great. I’m a sports nut and downtime on weekends i like to watch some college football. Be forewarned, there is no TV. Which ends up good as you can hear conversations from the room beside yours. I didn’t care for the music from the barn behind the property although it did end at a reasonable hour. These are small things but I tend to be sensitive to extraneous sounds. "
