In the room, several fixtures were loose from the ceiling and bathroom fixtures were in need of updating. Everything could have used some paint."

"This is a converted townhouse just off the quiet end of the Hippodrome, so the entire Sultanahmet area is immediately walkable. The hotel common areas are very attractively furnished with useful sitting areas for coffee etc. As a townhouse the rooms are not huge, but are cosy and laid out around a pleasant four storey tiled staircase (there’s a lift). "Wonderful front desk staff—helpful and very friendly. Full breakfast layout each morning on the rooftop terrace at 8am was very welcome. Room was a bit small but bed was comfortable and we only came back to sleep anyway"

"There are definitely more modern and glamorous hotels in Istanbul however Nile's hotel is probably the only one that has retained it's unique Turkish cultural heart. You can tell all of the staff care deeply for the hotel and their guests, which is shown in their friendly and helpfulness. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
