"This was a great break in a gorgeous property. Everything was as described, including the facilities and location / proximity to the beach. I had no concerns about the dogs in the garden with the high and fully secure fence and all rooms were spacious to accommodate us. This was our third stay in Southerness and most certainly the best property we have stayed in. We will be back."

"We totally loved our stay, which was made even more lovely by just how friendly and helpful the staff were, in particular Peter who served us our very tasty breakfast, and Caroline who served us drinks and made us feel so welcomed. Elle who was on Reception was also just amazing and the hospitality here was some of the best we have experienced. The view of the River Nith and walks were just breathtaking and so peaceful. Although our room was on the small side we don't ever spend much time except...

"We had a good week at the property, it is a bit remote and shopping for food best done before you arrive at property or in larger village shops! Lovely gardens and beach for the kids, a bit rocky but kids loved looking in rock pools. The accommodation itself was spotless, very well stocked with kitchen equipment and appliances, we had the two cottages which made up the stables, so 2 kitchen and lounge areas, we tended to use the larger kitchen for eating and the smaller cottage lounge as it was...
