"My wife and I spent two nights with Andy & Pip at the lodge at the start of our New Zealand vacation. They were great hosts, picked us up at the ferry dock, helped guide us with local transportation options (take advantage of the bus system to the local wineries) and Pip provided a wonderful breakfast that was a highlight of our visit. "1 key no good, 4 dinner plates for 6 people no good, table outside not clean, blinds broken, fridge and grill dirty, other than these small issues the place was a fantastic place to stay, picking up the key 15mins walk away. "The property and stay was great. My problem was that I booked a stay(prepaid)through Expedia for the wrong day (May 17) asked Expedia if they could just change to the correct day (May 19)they said I would have contact the hotel, the number on the Expedia site was not valid, I emailed them, they sent me back to Expedia. Expedia said that it was up to the hotel. Back and forth! Never got a resolution. Ended up booking for the correct day and just loosing the $200 I already paid "

Fantastic service

"Service was outstanding. Everyone was polite and helpful. I was particularly impressed at the high level of respect shown to our two small children to make sure they were happy and comfortable in their stay too. Room was clean and well appointed. Sky tower and city view was fabulous. Restaurant was great for both dinner and the buffet breakfast. I was unsure about the valet parking setup but it was very efficient and worked well. Will definitely stay again. "
