Front desk was super welcoming and genuinely friendly and helpful. I stayed the night before moving my son out of the UMaine dorm (like many others) and they were sold out. Nevertheless when I asked for an end room the desk staff said she had a quiet room no problem. Nice to encounter great people after a long day on the highway! I travelled as a single woman and I felt safe in the back parking area even after dark. Outside was well lighted, clean, and well maintained. Inside stairs and hall areas were also clean. My room was likewise clean, especially the bathroom which can make or break a good stay for me. The shower head is mounted rather low though for average height or taller folks (I’m 5’2”). My only complaint was the mattress which definitely needed updating. Squeaky when I sat down and the springs were noticeable. I was achy enough the next morning to need a couple Tylenol. But the linens smelled clean and sanitized without an overwhelming bleach smell. Full breakfast the next morning with plenty of options including fresh fruit instead of mostly prefab packaged muffins etc. I appreciated the sugar free syrup available at the waffle maker. Overall a great place at a great price without feeling like a budget hotel. I would stay again and can recommend it.

Our stay while touring U of Maine was excellent. Or stay was peaceful, beds were comfy, breakfast was good. What put them over the top was when we checked out and left, my daughter got sick. We went back to the hotel within 15min of leaving and asked if there was any way she could shower in our room. They were already starting to clean the room but stopped immediately to accommodate us. We were in and out in 20 minutes but it was a lifesaver and they were all so generous, patient and kind.
