"The view of Mt.Fuji from my room could not be beat—it was perfect. I loved the onsen as well. I would say the only drawback was that it is quite a walk from the train station—about 1/2 hr. So not ideal if you have luggage. Taxis were hard to come by for us. We could not get a taxi to take us to the train station at 8am."

"Overall the stay was good. Staff was really friendly and helpful! Great service. Room style was still in the 70’. Somewhat nostalgic. What is kind of great to experience in my opinion. Overall the room was clean. Major downside poor maintained bathroom, with mold on the ceiling. A hotel in that category must do better than this. One of the major highlights is a great breakfast with an awesome view on Mt Fuji (if the weather allows). "

"This hotel is an experience. It's an isolated location on a mountain side, but the hotel decor is almost a museum and worthy of being a destination in itself. On top of that, the exterior private baths are absolutely amazing, we booked them multiple times per day. Every meal was exceptional. Thank you for the beautiful memories!"

"The highlight for staying in this place would surely be the view of Mt Fuji. We had a Japanese room with futon beds. Not for those with knee issues, better get a room with proper bed. "100% perfect view of Fuji-san!! Short walk from Kawaguchiko Station and the route is generally flat and well lit at night. The property was very modern and minimalist. Room was clean but had some drain flies in the toilet. Very spacious and can easily fit four adults and luggage. Walls were not very sound-proof but was still acceptable. "
