Platinum was okay, not the best that I’ve seen. We had an issue with check in and rooms etc. The staff isn’t knowledgeable. The second room had a tub faucet that was leaning to the side. The shower leaked into the vanity area and ants all on the balcony. The beach was extremely rocky and so much seaweed that we had to walk to get in the water at the next resort.

Overall I was disappointed in my stay and would not be returning to the property. I am not sure how this hotel received a 5 star rating, it is a 3 star at best. The room was not ready until 3p (arrived at 1p), however I do believe that the room was ready at my arrival and the hotel practice was to have patrons wait until 3 (or later) to actually get their room key. I ended up having to call housekeeping as soon as I entered my room as my sheets and top cover contained stains. I also noticed when they were changing my sheets that the mattress cover itself also was stained. The drapes were stained. The floors were fifthly, I had on white socks and they were almost black after walking on the floor for a short time. Most of the metal fixtures were rusted including the shower fixtures. The tables and sofa in the room were also dirty and as I was able to clean them with a simple Clorox wipe, it leads me to believe that housekeeping never attempted to clean those areas. Overall the rooms were not very clean and needed updating. Service also needed to be improved. Any type of room request took a minimum of 45 mins. Bartenders at the pool areas ignored you most of the time and would often have one person working to service a pool full of guest. Pool chair cushions were also very dirty. The beach was also completely unusable due to Sargassum algae. Guest needed to go to the sister property for any clear water. Food was also lacking quality.

The staff made all the difference. I don't normally name names but these people went above and beyond and made our stay most enjoyable - Concierge - Isis Bell Hop - Marcelo Waiters - Bryan, Armando and Javier Hostess - Liseth I highly recommend this resort and i have already booked to go back in October.

Property was great, always very clean and staff were friendly and helpful. There were lots of entertainment options and the resort was very easy to navigate. Only con would be that the food was not as good as we were expecting, based on previous vacations to Mexico in the past. The buffet was very mediocre and redundant and the a la cartes were not the best, and we tried 4 of the options. The other issue was the dress code for men. Having to wear pants and open toe shoes in 36 degree weather doesn’t seem necessary. My husband wore collared shirts and dressy shorts and had to sit outside because he didn’t have pants. Been to many other resorts in the past and this was never an issue, he was always let in with dressy shorts with no issues. Other than the food/restaurant dress code the resort was a fun, relaxing experience! Would recommend the property to others.

Overall, I loved it. But staff half assed cleaned and the buffet needs major upgrading but the presentation was nice. Found an egg shell in my scrambled eggs (Big piece too), and upon check in they was a half drank can of corona in my refrigerator. Other little things I can be picky about but that was my true only big issues

Bed was comfortable but room needs upgrade especially the bathroom tiles. Balcony could have been cleaned from all the bird droppings! The safe battery needed replacing after just being there 1 day. The pool water was warm , although it was 100 degrees out ! The beach was unusable due to all the pile of seaweeds. The food & service was great! The spa was excellent! The coatie animals & iguanas everywhere was a surprise & unsure if they were harmless. Maybe put up a sign giving some explanation of these creatures! Still enjoyed our stay!

This is a great resort only if you have the swim up. The food was okay. Most of the bar staff were great. Waitresses walking pool side rarely came by even if you tipped well. The beach was unusable but not the fault of resort. Clean property. We didn’t have hot water our entire stay but was about the same temp as the pool so it wasn’t the worst. I did call front desk a few times but it wasn’t going to ruin our stay. Bellhops were amazing and friendly. One big and I mean big thing is there’s no timeshare people or presentation.

I gave this property a 5 star all around a year ago. Now its a 3 becausr i had a clogged toilet several times, 2 roaches in my room, and my whole family except 1 person was served raw salmon. Itll be my last stay

This resort is a truely 5 star.Beautiful and clean,great service and delicious food options without needing to make reservations.Great nightly shows.Beautiful rooms and swimout was a plus. Only down side was pools and swimouts close at 8pm which is very early and they could use more games and activities throughout the resort like board games,table games and casino. Staff was kind and nice.Overall great adult resort.

The property itself is very nice. It has beautiful landscaping and the rooms are nice. The bed is decently comfortable however the pillows are like rocks. As far as the beach is concerned, it is not usable. There was not a single person using the beach due to the amount of seaweed. Also, if you’re hoping to be able to see the ocean from your room it is not possible from the resort as the beach is a far walk from the property. If you are handicapped, the beach is also not accessible. The food and drinks are not super impressive. Also, men must have pants and close toed shoes to go to the restaurant which seems odd considering women can wear whatever they want. Overall the staff and the resort are nice but due to the beach alone, I would not return if you’re looking for a beautiful beach, this is not the hotel for you.
