"We had a nice visit here at the Melia in Cozumel. I would give it a 9 out of 10 rating. As others have mentioned, I would recommend upgrading to the Level experience. Better food options and other amenities, plus a bigger room. Place was very clean, room was nice and chilly, and everyone was exceptionally friendly. Overall the food was quite good, but I was disappointed by one thing. Both of the hotels offer entrees where you can upgrade and get something a little more expensive or exotic. One night at the Fish Restaurant I went with the Surf and Turf, which I ended up paying an additional $35 for. The filet was over-cooked and tough, and the prawns were nothing special. So I paid extra for a bland meal. That was my only negative of our stay here. So if you to upgrade to Level, no need to pay extra - the regular entrees offered as part of the package are just fine."

"it was my wife's birthday, and when i told the front desk, i believe that he was the one who sent up a bottle of wine to our room...when we came back from the beach, it was neatly placed on our table! THANK YOU! then at Bordeaux they sang for her...she loved it! we will definitely come back!"

"Positives, super friendly staff, very safe, very nice modern room, some of the best snorkeling in the world in on the beach in front the hotel, great gym and tennis court Negatives the food on site is a pretty pricey and to rent a kayak or paddle board is $30 usd an hour which is absurd not walkable I would absolutely stay here again though"

"There is so much to love about this resort! The grounds are outstanding. The food is way above average. The staff are very friendly. The only complaint I have is that they need to do something about people who will put towels on chairs at the pool and on the beach and never show up all day! They need to go back to issuing just one beach towel per person so that you can't reserve a chair at the beach and then stay up at the pool all day."
