The hosts provide a great orientation and offer a deep history of the property. In addition to suggestions nearby sites well worth the visit. It’s a great opportunity to learn California railroad history and see for 1st hand just how important early California commerce was, and still is. A great family experience. 5 stars"

"Came to Bakersfield for a family party. The house was awesome!!! We will rent again. We stay in houses as we like to gather and cook. The kitchen was minimally stocked. One small fry pan and small stock pot was a challenge but we made it work. I now build a “vacation tub” that I put what I need. We ran to store for showering soap and kurig pods but overall great stay!"
