New technology integrates Vrbo marketplace data with Escapia to help property managers set optimal rates, view business performance and improve listings
AUSTIN, Texas – Oct. 1, 2019 – Vrbo®, Expedia Group’s global vacation rental business, today announced new technology for Escapia vacation rental property management software. Escapia’s Performance Dashboard lets customers easily track key metrics, and the Opportunities Hub surfaces opportunities to improve listings and optimize rates. For the first time, users can view pricing opportunities based on MarketMaker™ data and take action on them directly within the Escapia product. These new performance, insights and revenue management features come with a fresh new look for the Escapia brand, which was publicly unveiled for the first time to hundreds of property managers at Rezfest 2019.

Escapia’s Performance Dashboard provides real-time insights on key metrics, which gives customers one easy-to-view look at their business performance. Based off pace reporting, the Performance Dashboard compares current business performance with historical data and data across the Vrbo marketplace to give property managers a comprehensive year-over-year overview.

With the Performance Dashboard, property managers can:
- View key metrics, including Rent, Bookings, Nights Sold and Occupancy
- Use filters to see and analyze granular data, including at the unit level
- Identify outliers in inventory that need attention
- Compare their performance against the larger vacation rental market for the first time by displaying occupancy data from the Vrbo marketplace
Tap into the Opportunities to Improve Performance
Escapia’s Opportunities Hub surfaces insights that will help customers capitalize on the top opportunities for their business, which includes suggestions for improving property appeal and optimizing rates as well as competitive insights.

With the Opportunities Hub, customers can:
- Receive suggestions for improving listing quality
- Gain competitive insights from Win/Loss cards
- Quickly act upon insights directly within the Escapia platform
Optimize Rates with MarketMaker Integration
In addition to surfacing opportunities for listing improvement, Vrbo has built an Escapia integration with the MarketMaker revenue management and rate optimization system to make determining and setting the right price easier than ever. MarketMaker analyzes billions of data points from the Vrbo marketplace to calculate prices that can help property managers increase revenue and occupancy. Escapia customers can now harness the power and intelligence from MarketMaker data in a matter of clicks.
