At the age of seventeen, Blake Shelton moved to Nashville to pursue his music career. He signed with Warner Bros. Records and released his debut single, “Austin”. It rose to the number one sport on the Billboard Hot Country Singles chart. His self-titled debut album received extremely positive reviews, being called “tremendously imaginative”. In his first 4 studio albums, Shelton released 4 No. 1 singles. In 2010, Shelton was invited to perform at the Grand Ole Opry. He won the Male Vocalist of the Year Award at the CMA’s that same year. The following year, His song “Honey Bee” from Red River Blue was certified gold in 7 weeks, making it the fastest gold certification by a male country singer. He also served as a coach on the opening of NBC’s The Voice, working alongside Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and other famous artists. Based on a True Story…, Shelton’s eighth album, held singles which broke the record for consecutive No. 1 singles with 11 consecutive No. 1 songs. In 2016, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum opened a Blake Shelton exhibit, tracing Shelton’s career achievements. He released Texoma Shore in 2017.
