Accesible solo por tracción en las cuatro ruedas (4x4), conducirá por la playa aproximadamente 7 millas, es por eso que necesitará una tracción en las cuatro ruedas. HIDEAWAY DE SIRENA es lo que encontrará en esta encantadora casa. Disfrute de las puestas de sol con vistas a la reserva natural donde deambulan los caballos salvajes. Este es un gran lugar para unas vacaciones familiares atesoradas. Toda la familia puede disfrutar de la cubierta inferior con su pintoresca sala de estar y el patio de arena, después de un día en la playa, limpiar la arena en la ducha exterior y disfrutar de una bebida en la terraza o relajarse un poco en el jacuzzi o la piscina. . Tenemos hoyo de maíz, hoyo de herradura, kayaks y otras comodidades para disfrutar.

Great trip to Carova!
We had a fantastic stay in Carova! I have been visiting this part of the Outer Banks for 30 years and I was not disappointed on this trip! The house was great! No problems; no surprises. Trent is an excellent host! He loves Carova; he wants his guests to have an excellent visit and it shows! The kids will not soon forget the daily visits from the wild horses. Watching the sunset over the water was a wonderful way to end the day. We will be back next year!

Wonderful stay!!
Beautiful house fully stocked with everything we needed. The property manager communicated everything we needed to know and let us know that he was available if we needed anything. The ride down the beach to the house was so much fun - just make sure you have 4wd and lower your tire pressure. There's nothing else like it! We love to live on the island, but will have to settle for vacations there, for now. :) .

Trent was an awesome host. Absolutely loved this house and its location. Saw horses daily. Ocean was flagged most of the week but there was so much to do from the house it made up for it. Definitely going there next year.

Summer fun
This house was perfect for our family. We were able to dock our boat easily and the property was also easily accessed by land. We were visited daily by the local horses which was a thrill to us all. It was a vacation we all loved and look forward to our next time in Corova.

Heaven's hideaway :)
Our family's stay was perfection. The location was incredible, and we saw horses daily. The pool and hot tub were awesome ways to unwind after a day at the beach. Our hosts were available for anything we needed, which really wasn't much because they had everything setup for us to enjoy before we even arrived. I hope to stay here again, and recommend anyone takes the opportunity to stay here in the future 🎉

Great place to stay and vacation
It was our first trip to Carova and everyone really liked the location as it was different from anywhere we had ever vacationed before. The trip up the 4x4 beach was an adventure from the normal commutes to other vacations. The beach was beautiful and although could get a little crowed more towards the weekends, but it always felt like you were away from it all. We liked being able to drive from the house to the beach as it was very convenient and eliminated a lot of work hauling things that were always right there next to us in the truck at the beach. It was especially helpful when we took our 5 month old granddaughter to the beach. If anyone needed to go back to the house, it was just a quick drive (<5 minutes) back to the house. The home was well located and equipped for our vacation needs. The pool was a great addition when you needed a quick cool off. Trent was very helpful and accommodating. Thank you for a great stay.

Greet stay as always, house is clean, well equipped, with pool and spa. Being on the canal is awesome with a couple of kayaks to explore the canals and the sound.

Property was impressive. Had a great family vacation. My Wife, I, Both early twenty something boys, their wife/girlfriend, and two step children(3,6) had an amzing time. Trent is the best host you could ask for. Giant shout out to him. Thanks buddy.

Birthday Week
The week was perfect. The only way it would have been better would be if we could have stayed forever. We love the house, its secluded location, the amenities provided and our host Trent is truly an angel. We recommend this listing. It was a wonderful birthday week for me spent with family and friends.

Annual OBX Trip
Had the best time!! The owner was amazing, communication was top notch, everything was as advertised and better than we expected! We usually stay Ocean side but so glad we found this property on the Canal! We had so much fun Kayaking and crabbing and the beach was just a super quick hop down the road. Absolutely will recommend this property to our friends and family!!

Pet friendly family vacation
This has got to be the best place to stay. Watching the deer, horses and various birds while sitting in the pool or hot tub. The house has everything you need and has the feeling of home. Trent is the best to work with and is always there to help if anything is needed. I highly recommend staying here.

Family vacation
The house was amazing. Our family loved everything about it. We seen different varieties of wildlife each day. Trent is an awesome guy to rent from and goes above and beyond to make sure your trip feels like you are at your home away from home. With all the vacations we've been on in the past, Trent was definitely the best person I've ever dealt with. He cares more about you and your family having a great stay than any other landowner we've stayed at. I will definitely recommend any place he has to everyone. If you haven't had the pleasure of staying at his rental then you are truely missing out!! Do yourself a favor and book it because you won't regret it!!! The pool and hot tub are great for all ages!! Again, I can't speak highly enough on the how great this house and everything it offers was!!! Lastly, I completely recommend this place and any others that Trent has available. He truely cares about your stay and it shows!!!

Wonderful pet friendly vacation spot
We had an amazing week at Mermaid Hideaway! The house was comfortable with everything we needed, even toilet paper and paper towels. We watched horses from the front yard daily. Water next to the house was clean for fishing, kayaking, and even a little swimming. The owner was easy to contact, answered all questions, and even picked us up some fishing bait. We have been to many vacation homes and this was the best!

First time ever staying at a location on the beach
This was definitely an experience with having time restrictions when you can leave and have to be back due to high tide, when we figured out our way around it was great. All the puddles we had to go through was a little nerve racking but with the truck we made it. Had a little trouble finding the house with being our first time but I contacted Trent and he came to rescue us, once we got there we did nothing but relax and anything we needed Trent was on top of it and constantly checked in on us! Couldn’t of asked for a better host!

Perfect week
Thanks for giving us a private/peaceful week. It was a perfect getaway. The pool is awesome. Loved relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. Great communication with Trent. Listen to his advice on tire pressure and you will have an easy time getting to house. Wildlife and nature was amazing. Saw our first otter that was not in a zoo! Highly recommend!

Family Fun
Being on the canal was great with seeing the deer and cranes. My nephew caught his first fish! We loved seeing the horses everyday. We had access to the sound to ride our jet ski. The pool was great! The house could use a power washing and a little better lighting at night.

This place is amazing .... between the horses and turtles and other nature around you cannot go wrong and there is plenty to do .... fishing, kayaking, walking , swimming in the pool hot tub , corn hole and anything you can think of . Perfect for families with little kids and big kids. If you don't mind driving on the beach and have a vehicle that can make it , I highly recommend renting this house 👌 👍 😀

Horse lovers dream vacation
Vacation of a lifetime while staying at Mermaid Hideaway!! Trent and Steph were very welcoming and went way beyond what a host would need to do! Their beautiful home is located on a canal with a lot of wildlife and the horses swimming across it!! When we realized our SUV was only a 2 wheel instead of a 4x4 they dropped everything without hesitation and drove us to Corolla in their own SUV to get groceries!!! The home had everything we could ever want and more and beds very comfortable!! The new pool was situated so you could look at the canal and great location to the beach!! Making plans to go back in the fall because it was so peaceful and relaxing while enjoying the wild horses daily!!!

Great views and wildlife
My wife and I stayed here for the first part of our honeymoon. Trent is a great communicator and an excellent host. The horses were amazing. The first morning we watched them play in the canal right outside. The day we left a group of three horses came into the driveway as if to wish us a safe journey. The experience was very touching. The views from the deck were awesome and the beach was gorgeous. The pool is definitely private and wonderful on a hot day. If you are looking for a place to stay for the wildlife and the views with the benefit of swimming space, this place is amazing!

Great family vacation
Trenton the property owner was outstanding to work with. Any time we had a question, he was quick to respond. The location was beautiful, right next to the canal and only a few blocks away from the beach. The swimming pool and hot tub were an added bonus, very clean, the pool is salt water which was a nice surprise. We saw the wild horses almost every day, right in the backyard. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Great location
Great location. Saw so many horses and other wildlife! Was disappointed that the running water was basically salt water - they need a new filter. Make sure to bring plenty of bottled water! Also, the grill is charcoal so make sure to buy charcoal before hand... we do a lot of grilling so had to go back into town to buy a bag of that. Had a great stay overall.
