“The property is absolutely stunning! There is wildlife galore on the property and you feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest. We had perfect weather and it was a little cooler but, if it wasn’t, the lack of air conditioning may have been rough! Love love loved this place and so did the whole group. 10/10 would recommend.”

“We enjoyed our stay here, the home was spacious, awesome balcony with volcano view. Awesomely designed bathrooms, with good shower pressure. Beds were on the firmer side, which is great for some, but not for all. Had enough room for everyone, we only used the bedrooms downstairs. Neighborhood felt safe, people were friendly. It was located near to some of the activities we had planned. You would def need transportation to get to downtown or other restaurants etc. We did experience a bit of……

“We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Castillo. The terrace had an amazing view of Arenal volcano, and we saw so many birds in the backyard. It was amazing to have coffee in morning and watch clouds roll through valley and listen to birdsong. The location is convenient for getting to Fortuna and nearby parks for hiking, but Castillo feels much more quaint and quiet for enjoying peaceful evenings. We cooked in kitchen and had everything we needed to prepare meals. We also loved Ventanita restaurant……

“Oscar was a great host - the view is amazing and the location to the activities we wanted to do was perfect. The only things I would like to see improved are more places to hang or put your clothes and the main area was not air conditioned so it made it difficult to all hang out in the center area. “Mike's place is stunning. The views are incredible, the birds provide endless interest, and the quiet is very peaceful. The pool is refreshing after a hot day of excursions and the ground staff or Mike are always present to turn the waterslide on for the little ones if desired. My 15 year old loved having open access to a well equipped gym. The house has every convenience you could possibly need but Mike is very responsive to any enquiry or request. Great communication. “Conveniently located minutes from the town of Santa Elena, this home has everything you need for a comfortable stay! The interior has beautiful wood accents and everything you need to fix a meal or cup of coffee -- which you can enjoy outside in the gazebo! In the mornings you can see agouti in the forest/backyard (who love to eat your fruit scraps)! Daniella was quick to respond to my messages, there to greet us despite us changing the arrival time (a few times), and she delivered fans……

“We had a most amazing time at gem of a place. We loved company of Mrs Marisel and Anyara. We had breakfast with them everyday. Josh took us for a night frog tour and had amazing knowledge. It was amazing hard work and love he put together in the property. You need a car to get to this place but its worth a try. There is a beautiful private forest behind the house where there are several birds who come during the morning (including at least three tocans), there are also atleast one or two sloths……
