The staff went above an beyond before even asking. The food was excellent. The spa was relaxing. The best part was that we had something to do at the hotel at all times. While waiting for our next adventure, we were not just stuck waiting in our room. we visited with other guests, played games and relaxed in the many comfort areas in and around the hotel. It's a nice location with places to hang out at during your stay. There are a lot of visitors in and out due to the history. There is only one vending area with not many options but there is a restaurant on site that stays open until 11\. The beds were ok, but after staying more than two days my hips started to hurt. The parking is super easy though and they do have a shuttle that can take you downtown on demand. You can also take your own car there as there are many cheap options in the heart of town to park. The TV is small if that's something you enjoy but overall it was a good stay. We stayed 4 nights...you really only need 1 or 2 and then find somewhere cheaper and more convenient to downtown. Everything creeked and cracked, as well as every time you moved in the bed it made noise. I didn’t care for the experience. Way overpriced for the room conditions. The taxes and fees for 3 night stay was almost 300$, so that put us at about 500$ a night. You can visit the hotel without staying, that’s my recommendation. My husband and i was on a motorcycle. We were wet and cold. Staff didn't even blink a eye. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful.
