A peaceful retreat with a melody all it's own...come experience Maggie's Song!

10/10 Excellent
"The cottage was wonderful. It reminds me of my grandparent's cottage in Michigan. Sleeping with the gentle sound of the creek below us was great. We saw elk, beaver, a bear along with the usual squirrels and chipmunks, and Sam the Big Foot but he's a good guy. The driveway is a challenge, but I got used to it. The porch was a wonderful place to read, nap or just sit. We had some problems with the water pump but our hosts were quick to get it fixed. Improvements? I would like some brighter lights in the bedroom and a place to hang clothes."

Cozy Bear Inn

10/10 Excellent
"I’m going to be honest and upfront and say this: When we first pulled into the parking lot, I was a little unsure. This place is so small and I thought, “There’s no way our room can be big enough for a family of five.” However, any doubt dissolved immediately as soon as we got into our room. Not only was the self check-in super simple and convenient, our room was exactly as advertised and absolutely spotless. There was so much space, the room smelled fresh and clean, and our bed was so soft I got the deepest sleep I’ve had all year. My only suggestion- and it’s so minuscule it’s hardly worth mentioning- would be to have the A/C running when a check-in is expected. It was a very hot day and it took some time for our room to get cooled down. I would absolutely recommend a stay here and when we are back in town we will probably book again."

10/10 Excellent
"Our stay at Castle Wood Inn was a wonderful experience. We have stayed at this location several times, however this was the 2nd time under new management and they did not disappoint. Most of the rooms are newly remodeled with new showers and sinks. The Decor is much more appealing. House keeping was amazing and helpful with anything that you needed. Pet friendly, great places to walk your dog. We always bring our dog and it has always been a pleasant experience. The price is great for the location. The beds were comfortable and everyone there was super friendly. Very Family friendly as well. Located close to all of the shops and Joe's Pancake House. I would recommend staying at this location. The manager is so very helpful and even was accommodating when we asked to stay another night. I was very impressed with Castle Wood Inn during this trip and I look forward to staying there again!!!"
