This was my second time staying at Westin. This visit was good, but unfortunately, was not as great as my first visit. My vacation started off with my room not being ready, and I was told I would need to wait about 20-30 minutes after check-in time to go to my room. I was offered another room at that moment, but I declined since they offered me a room without a balcony. I paid for a room with a balcony, so I wanted to make sure I got what I paid for.
When my room was finally ready, I discovered that it was way at the very end of the property in a different tower from the main building. The room was ok, but it was kind of a far walk from the main building that had the market, restaurants, etc. Not a huge deal, but it was somewhat inconvenient. I would have rather stayed in the main building like I did on my first visit. In addition to being in a different building, my room didn’t seem to be as nice as what I remembered my room being in the main building. Take my advice: if you stay here, ask for a room in the main building.
To be fair to Westin management, they did contact me asking if would like to switch rooms to the main building. However, I checked in on a Tuesday, and my last day would be on Friday. They contacted me on Thursday night, so it seemed pointless to switch rooms since the very next day was going to be my last day. If they would have contacted me on Tuesday, I absolutely would have switched rooms.
The Sea & Stones restaurant is of poor quality
