I enjoyed the food. It was amazing, loved the grilled octopus appetizer. The visual of hotel is beautiful. The only downfall was in the shower area there was a field mice that crept through a whole at top of shower. This part is from outdoor. Stunning views at the edge of the cliff while having breakfast was the most memorable thing. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and organise and transport. We have stayed in 5 other hotels on this trip in Indonesia all of which have been better than this one and this was by no means the cheapest. The hotel rooms are dated and need significant upgrading to justify the 4 star rating. There is not much that feels luxury about the room, not the bedding, towels or any nice little touches. The TV did not work for the first day of our stay and our shower kept running out of water every few minutes - all quite small stuff but added together in none of it felt great. There are not really any communal areas in the hotel to sit and relax other than the Klif Restaurant and adjoining pool which are open to the public. The pool area does not have proper sun beds, just a few bean bags dotted around. There is a good free shuttle bus to Yellow Bridge which we found useful. We didn’t have much engagement with the staff here but the bits we did felt less warm and welcoming than we have experienced in other hotels.
