Instead, we were given a poolside room with two queen beds, which was not what we reserved. That was disappointing, especially after specifically booking a king. Overall, we do like the Divi and believe this was likely an issue with Expedia rather than the resort itself. Unfortunately, this is the second time we’ve had problems booking through Expedia. On this trip, we booked a package and even our JetBlue flight seats were changed without our knowledge. Based on our recent experiences, we would strongly recommend booking directly through the resort or hotel. We’ve found JetBlue Vacations to be much more reliable, with far better customer service. The room was more than spacious, the bed was excellent, and we had a little mini pool which we could utilize at our leisure. We also had a decent view of the ocean, even though we were not supposed to. It was very clean, and what truly stood out was some of the staff were just so very helpful, and the food wherever we went was either a five out of five or a four out of five each and every time. Beach was nice, plenty of beach chairs if you couldnt find one at the pools. For all inclusive, the drinks were good, and strong. This was the best all inclusive we've been to. We plan on visiting again in the future. No apology and made to feel like a hassle when asking if room was ready yet. No room amenities - no bottled water, no body lotion, no stocked fridge or any of the basics that are expected/standard in decent all inclusive hotels. No room service and no 24hr food options. Towels were the texture of sand paper and so small that I almost couldn’t even wrap them around me and I am a small woman. The shampoo was very poor quality and there was shampoo in the conditioner bottle. Our safe and shower head were broken and our sink didn’t drain. Overall the staff was unwelcoming and made you feel like you were bothering them when you asked for something. Poor/bottom shelf alcohol options.
