We had a one night stay here! Amazing location in terms of getting around. We loved the sound of the trains rumbling overhead - but earplugs are provided if you find it’s too much. Bed was really comfortable which was a bonus. Thank you for a great first night in Japan.

We had five people in the room with six beds. We had plenty of room to spread our luggage out across the bed. It is super convenient to the Akihabara station north gate. Staff was friendly and helpful when needed. We found the trains to be soothing white noise after a couple hours. Would definitely stay again.

Understanding that its directly underneath the train tracks its gonna be tight rooms but the washroom was ridiculously small . The wifi was pretty weak so we always had to go outside to use the internet. Key cafe was pretty good amd tasty food. The staff were very nice amd professional

I was challenged by my family to find a unique hotel experience. This hotel delivered! Stay for the atmosphere. Can definitely hear the trains, but staff gives out ear plugs. Slept comfortably, and extremely convenient Akihabara location. Walk to all, especially to station, (of course!).

The room was bigger than I thought we had a room to sleep four with 2 singles and a double the staff were so nice we got to store our luggage after arriving at 8am there was a cafe and bar onsite. Short walk to the train station and shops everywhere I would stay here again the train noise didn’t even bother me

This hotel is conveniently located about a five-minute walk from Akihabara Station. The entrance is at the top of a flight of stairs, so it's easy to miss if you don't notice the hotel's logo. The elevator is on the opposite side of the stairs, but it's only marked with the logo as well, so looking for the hotel name alone can make it easy to walk right past it. The room was on the small side, but that's to be expected given the excellent location, and I felt the price was reasonable. We chose a room with bunk beds, which gave us more space and made the room feel much more comfortable. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.

Had the best sleep of our six night Japan trip at this hotel. Maybe it was the trains passing above us that helped us sleep well. The property is very groovy and well situated next to the Akihabara subway station. The staff was very helpful. Loved the vinyl record store next door.

The location was fantastic! Very close to transit yet a quieter station. The trains are noticeable, but it didn’t bother us. Pancakes at the cafe were tasty. A bit of a tight space tho.

If you are in the Akihabara area and need a hotel with a great location and great atmosphere, you will not go wrong with Under Railway. One of the other deciding factors for this hotel is the fact that they can accommodate a large group, something that is hard to find in Tokyo, depending on your circumstances. Another possible drawback is the sound of the railway above you, but if you are anything like my siblings, a) you might not even notice it after a certain point or b) you might find it soothing.
