The property is undergoing renovations, so parking was complicated. We had a very nice and comfy room. We enjoyed drinks and dinner in the Cascades Restaurant. Unfortunately it was a quick visit so we didn’t get to explore the property more.

Never pass up an opportunity to stay at this property and experience all the amenities they offer!!! From coffee shop to tours to restaurants, all was worth it!! Staff were top notch also!!

The hotel is old. It’s clean but just old. If you expect something modern, this isn’t the one. We liked the location, it’s easy to get to Rocky Mountains. The restaurants in the hotels are pricing. It’s probably better to go to the town for dinner.

Oh The Stanley!!! Even with construction going on all around the hotel it was beautiful as always! Our room, The Cascades Suite, at the other end of the hall of 217!!, was clean and updated, bathroom was gorgeous! Staff was great. Breakfast at the Cascades was delish. The maze could use some work but hoping with the Blumehouse Museum coming they will do it justice! Love The Stanley ❤️

We had good views but there is a lot of construction happening. Food was good…biggest issue was they never cleaned the room after multiple requests.. it was gross to see used towels in the tiny bathroom… also water was not free flowing in the sink.

I would rate the hotel 4+ stars if it were not for the major construction, everywhere around the property. A beautiful hotel, once the additions are completed then I expect The Stanley to be an amazing stay. Just don't book a stay until the work is completed. To my understanding it will be sometime in 2028. My review is not a knock on the staff and management. My experience with them was positive.

The pool was at a different location for an additional fee per person. That was no where on the website. The room was mid for the price. The Stanley is a one and done. The bathroom was bigger than our room. No where to sit in the room to relax at the end of the day. I dont think we will ever stay again.

The Stanley’s such a great place to stay. The rooms are clean and so beautiful. The Hedge maze is fun and there are so many other properties to enjoy on site. The tours are great also.

The staff were very courteous and even apologized for the large crowd that got a little loud at the bar while eating dinner. The hotel was clean and we had ample supply of fresh towels and toiletries in our room. My only complaint was that the parking situation was not ideal and loads of construction around the hotel that did not allow us to access and enjoy all the amenities they had to offer. The rose garden was half blocked off; we did not even get to view the pool area. In addition, there were cranes obstructing our mountain view from our room and we were awakened by construction noise in the morning during our stay. Also, when booking through Expedia, I was under the impression I booked a room in the hotel but later discovered that Expedia booked our room in the lodge. I thought that this was a little deceiving considering the room I booked stated Stanley Hotel and then details revealed Lodge.

First, the staff are absolutely top notch. They are professional, friendly and helpful. These are 5 star people. We stayed in the hotel, rather than the lodge, if we stay again we would try the lodge. It was a mixed bag, I found the halls, rooms, halls and public places in the hotel shabby, over worn and not well maintained. We hung out in one of the bars and it was great. Normally I would expect the view from the outside spaces to be great.

Construction will eventually make the property more enjoyable, but was a bit disruptive during my stay. Many non-hotel guests present for the hotel tours during the day. Proximity to RMNP and downtown Estes Park was convenient.

Your opinion of this hotel will depend upon your expectation. If you want a 5 star hotel equal to the best Hyatt Regency you will be greatly disappointed, especially for the price. If you are looking for an iconic hotel with lots of history and character you will be very pleased. I would recomend booking the two bed rooms because they are much bigger.

Tour guide for all three of our tours, Ashley, was amazing! The car lot attendant was informative and kind. She made us feel welcomed. The lady at the check in desk was outstanding and knowledgeable. The tours were great. The steam room was inop. The gym should have been more accessible. We cannot wait until 8am to exercise all the time with our busy itineraries. Beautiful overall.
