Savanna views, lodge comfort, Disney ease

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge wraps a sweeping wildlife preserve, so the view can include roaming hoofed animals and birds right from the resort. Getting to Disney’s Animal Kingdom is easy with a quick bus ride.

  • Savanna after dark

Use provided night vision goggles for evening animal viewing at Uzima Overlook.

  • Dining with a view

Sanaa pairs African cooking and Indian flavors with animals roaming beyond the windows.

  • Closest to Animal Kingdom

Ride the complimentary bus about 5 to 10 minutes to reach the park.

Amenities

  • Starlight Safari night expedition with night vision
  • Jambo House campfire with stories and marshmallows
  • Poolside Movies Under the Stars at Uzima
  • State-of-the-art fitness center with saunas
  • Private shuttle between Jambo House and Kidani

We stayed here for 4 nights. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was helpful. There is no free airport shuttle. We only ate at the maro and the food was average and over priced. Didnt try the fancy ones.. i would stay here again.

We came for a resort only trip specifically to try out a safari room. The hotel, service, and facilities are wonderful. Don’t miss Jiko- the best meal we’ve ever had in Orlando. I wouldn’t bother with the safari room in the future- there are plenty of places around the resort to observe the Savannah so I don’t think the cost was justified. Highly recommend this resort.

The place was ok. I thought they would of have more activities for the children. Food was very expensive and not to good...The only thing that I liked was the kiddy pool.

I have the overall rating a 5 because the savanna views were worth all of it. The room itself was clean and well maintained. The lobby decor was fabulous. The pool and spa area were fine; nothing to complain about but also nothing great either. What was not so great were the rugs in the hallways; they were stained, tattered and old. The condition of them were and are unacceptable for a deluxe resort. They need to be replaced today.

We had an amazing stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. The property is absolutely beautiful, and seeing the animals roaming the savanna right outside our room was an unforgettable experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to make us feel welcome—we can’t wait to return.
