The hotel was beautiful. The wait for the elevators was absolutely horrendous. It took away at least 2-3 hours of our stay there because it took 30 minutes to get on the elevator every time. There obviously weren't enough working elevators for the number of guests. We also ate at the in-hotel restaurant. The choices were limited and the food was not great although the service was excellent. The gym, pool, sauna facilities were excellent.

I have stayed at the Fairmont multiple times and it is always great. The location is perfect if taking the train. I felt the room was a bit cramped for one adult and two kids, but the city view was outstanding. The staff took care of reservations for me and was very helpful whenever I needed them. The pool was a perfect break during the heatwave and the water filling station on our floor was a nice surprise. If you're going with kids, I recommend an afternoon gelato in Artisans to beat the summer heat and a pizza to go if you're taking the train or want to do a picnic out.
