Did not like that our room was not ready until 4:20pm. This was the most expensive room on this trip at over$1000 for the night and even though we arrived by 3pm we had to wait almost an hour and a half to get our room. The shuttle driver into Newport was very nice as were the valets.

All employees were very nice starting from Valet and restaurant employees. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. We stayed in a room in the Captains Quarters area which was awesome. Very roomy, clean and well maintained. The only complaint I had was that they didn’t do the smores roast at night even though it was on their site and written on the chalkboard by the front desk. LOL. Of course I say that jokingly because I love sweets but seriously we would stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel to friends.

This property is in a great location, especially if you are a walker. Close to everything you would want to do and see. The on site amenities just add to the overall experience of excellence. You can stay at the resort or venture out. It's your call. Very friendly staff always ready to answer any question. Cannot say enough positive things about this resort, except to see it for yourself.

Overall the resort was very nice and my family had a nice time. The room was not as clean as it could be in the nooks and cracks and a little tight. The cable also kept going in/out. The shuttle service to town was a perk and the heated pool was very nice. We were disappointed with the spa, they were obviously short staffed and it was very basic for the price. The indoor pool was also closed. Aside from these few things, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. If you are contemplating staying in town or Goat Island, i definitely recommend Goat Island to give you a resort feel away from the chaos when you have had enough. Not to mention the views of the bay are amazing.
