We stayed at Casa Cabanah because due to late organization, there was not much left in Vilanculos available. So we were glad to have found a place but our expectations were not high. That being said, we could not have been happier. The cottage was super clean, the plumbing and electricity of good quality, and the bed and linens lovely to sleep in. Great space for a great price!
This hotel is a gem. The food is high quality and very tasty. We did have to wait a bit for them to cook breakfast, but it was well worth it. It was very clean and the location incredible. It is right on the beach. One warning...Tchopellas do not drive down the road that the hotel is on. It is about a 10 minute walk up a hill to meet them. But it is a great space for a great price!

Casa Cabana Beach needs help
Accommodation, and cleanliness was perfect, as were the breakfasts. Fresh fruit salad, homemade health bread, bacon eggs etc!! But the access road to Casa Cabana has been blocked by the restaurant next door and this has seriously affected the success of the resort. Clients have to park on the beach road and carry suitcases in. For this reason we were the only guests last weekend. The matter is being legally settled and we hope it is in favour of Casa Cabana. It is a truly beautiful place, reasonably priced and ideal for the whole family.

Very well greated and treated by all staff. We were in a cozy little cottage just a few meters from the beach. Next to Wild Africa tours where they arranged us a day-trip to Ilha Magaruque and my first lessons of kitesurfing. The only thing that should be sorted out is the car entrance for guests.

Great stay, would recommend a staying here
Had a great stay, accommodation was lovely, food was great. Beautiful location. Free airport transfer was a bonus. Unfortunately, we had 2 trips cancelled last minute (1 due to weather and 1 due to communication errors) so would advise double checking trips in future.

I was welcomed to Casa Cabana with a refreshing Cocktail and lots of friendly smiles. The Management and the staff members speak english very well and are very attentive. The rooms are decorated with love and close attention to details. I loved how the light comes on inside the closet when opening..;)) The Restaurant/Bar is right on the beach and the Seafood is to die for! I am so looking forward to my next. Obrigada! ☀️

Beach Chalets are comfortable with nice views. Maybe a bit expensive but par for the course in Mozambique. Restaurant has great food and good service. There is a tour company on site for boat trips to the islands which is a must do. Airport pickup and drop off is smooth and easy. The lack of daily free bottled water is strange at this price point but not a huge issue.

Perfect gateway to Bazaruto island
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Cabana. The staff and managed were very friendly and attentive. We got picked up for free from the airport. The breakfasts and dinners there were lovely. The room was spacious, we especially enjoyed our balcony with the hammock and view of the ocean. The only slight downside were that the area was super windy and the beach had quite a few (friendly!) people walking around trying to sell you stuff. Overall a very pleasant stay!

Perfectly located hotel right on the beach!
We really enjoyed Casa Cabana. A friend and I shared the room with a queen and two bunk beds and it was much larger than anticipated. Plus, it had a refrigerator and stove top. Bobo and Juanita are the on-site managers and they do a wonderful job ensuring all the guests have a great experience in Mozambique. Bobo arranged a fantastic (and fairly priced) tour. The food at Casa Cabana was very good and the breakfast that was included was more than enough food. If I visit Vilanculos again, I would be happy to stay here again. The rooms could probably use a bit of maintenance, but overall, everything was better than expected. Plus, the transfer to and from the airport is included in the price!

Nice location but overall disappointing
Hotel is right on a nice part of the beach in Vilankulo. We stayed in an ocean view Cabana for 5 nights in Feb 2018. We had issues with our shower 4/5 times we went to use it. I had to ask them to fix it 4x the first day we were there. There was a drip or no water at all. Only had warm water twice. The view from the bathroom was a big pile of trash. Room was very small and basic. No door to the bathroom - toilet is open to the bedroom area. Minimal room for storage of carry on luggage. Included breakfast was plenty good and filling but service was impressively slow most of the time despite being the only couple eating at that time. Internet in the room was very poor & only worked one day. Internet at the restaurant was pretty good but worked about 75% of the time. The two main people running Casa Cabana, Bobo & Juanita, are very kind and make an effort to be helpful and accommodating but felt they could have done a bit more to make up for our constantly failing shower. Overall the experience was just a bit disappointing and we wished we'd stayed elsewhere. Not sure how this place has such good ratings.

Aanrader! Gelegen op het strand, vlak bij restaurant en bar Kasbah (mooi meegenomen, want niet veel eetgelegenheden in de buurt). Personeel was heel hulpvaardig en vriendelijk, en hielp ons ook in no time bij het vastleggen van een boottrip naar Bazaruto (dik in orde!). Gratis transfer naar de luchthaven was ook mooi meegenomen.

Les chambres sont proches à la plage. Le bar s’appelle Casbah est situé sur la plage, une situation extraordinaire et le bar avec beaucoup d’ambiance. Bonne nourriture, en particulier les crevettes. Des employés accueillants, une propriétaire généreux, et un endroit à l’aise.

Abbiamo trascorso una settimana rilassante in questa struttura che si trova direttamente sul mare. La struttura è semplice, ma dotata di tutti i comfort. Il personale sempre gentilissimo ,premuroso e interessato che tutto andasse per il meglio.
