The hotel's onsen are absolutely beautiful; you can enjoy both, and while they offer completely different concepts, they are both spectacular! The interior garden is lovely, too. Overall, the hotel is nice, though it is perhaps starting to look a bit worn due to age. The staff were always very attentive and friendly. The ice cream machine was a nice bonus!

This was a splurge for our Japan trip. I haven’t seen all of them, but I would say this is probably the best Onsen out there. It sits at the top of the mountain. Great buffet dinner and breakfast. Staff is perfection. Service is perfection. Thank you for such a great time Hakone. Everyone needs to go here at least once in their life.

We had a wonderful stay at Ten-yu. Our family absolutely loved the experience, it was incredibly relaxing, and the grounds were immaculate and peaceful to walk through. The food was fantastic, with a great variety of thoughtfully prepared options that made every meal enjoyable. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable, providing the perfect place to unwind. Having a private onsen on the balcony was a highlight for our family.
