Excellent! Communication was great from Hideaway - we were on a long hike that took much longer than planned and pulling up to see the Hideaway Inn was a sight for sore eyes (and body). We have never stayed here before , but already planning our next trip! i cannot explain how happy we were with the whole vibe of the Inn.

A very beautiful old English building with so much character. I brought my dog with me, and he really enjoyed staying there as well. They have a coffee machine available for free, a large dining table, and an amazing view. We really enjoyed our stay!

It was a great little spot to get to Lincoln. We had our puppy there and he loved it as well. There’s no staff or front desk, it’s very laid back and independent. Very cute spot for pets and children!

This hotel has no visible staff. No one to greet you or to answer any questions you may have. The hot water was very slow in coming and there is no cleaning staff to refresh your room if needed. There were extra towels available. The bed was very comfortable. The view from our room was amazing. The window had A/C but not able to be opened for natural breeze. We did have our dog and the grounds were nice for walking her. We probably would chose another place next time, one with someone to greet you and provide info if needed.

We had a nice stay. The downstairs game rooms and sitting areas were so nice and decorated so charming with antiques and memorabilia with plenty of activities to enjoy during your stay. The property also had amazing views of the mountains. We were some disappointed in the room as there were no closets or bureaus and no table or anywhere to put your things except the floor. Also the bathroom was so tiny you could barely turn around and again no where to put anything. I understand it is being newly renovated so hope these things can be corrected as we really love the location.

The view from Room 207 was beautiful. It's a quirky place that has seen better days. There should be at least one staff member available in person to handle questions or complaints. Overpriced for the lack of staff and amenities. There should be a coffeemaker and mini microwave in each room. No shower curtain & no curtain on the window in the shower. I had to rig up a t-shirt over it for privacy. I sent a text message about music in the living room being left on all night, which kept me awake. I received no response, but someone did turn it off later that day. Available on-site activities were nice: pool table, books, games, etc. Overall, the owners could use a little education in hospitality and management.

Beautiful setting and grounds. Room clean except for dead flys on the window still. Mattress fair. Room configurations odd. Customer service terrible. Booked two rooms but only received reservation form for one in order to get room and code. When texted them to send 2nd they said no. Use phone and call us when there. What should have taken 5 mins took 20mins. No staff on site to help. Would not stay again.

This hotel has no front desk or physical staff, which we knew beforehand. Small glitch for us at the start when we received the text with our room number but without the code. We sent a text requesting the code and were good to go before we arrived at the property. We visit the area fairly often and found this place close to Polly's Pancake Parlor and Franconia Notch State Park. It is an older inn in good shape. Most of the first floor is dedicated to entertainment and access to a coffee machine(fresh ground as you wait) and filtered water. Also, there is a digital interface and phone that supposedly gives you a direct connection to the inn's staff. We did not use the phone but did see several people waiting to talk to someone when they arrived to take care of issues. We didn't hang around but it didn't seem like they were connected quickly. Our room was clean with goods views. Small bathroom and very tight in the shower. I am not a fan of the rain type shower-heads and this one was definitely too big for the size shower. We did want fresh towels after a couple of days and found some a floor down. The supply closet on our floor was low. In all, the views are great, clean room, so-so on the daily maintenance outside the room, close to what we were interested in.

The manager was the only saving grace. The people on the text response and customer service line didn’t seem to have knowledge of the property. My first room had some stuck/smeared on the floor so I was given a new room. The 2nd room didn’t have hand soap. When I text the customer service line they simply said “apologies, housekeeping must have forgot.” No offer to bring any to the room. Ice machine was out of ice, when I text customer service they said both machines were broken. A lot of dead bugs and exposed nails poking through around the room. Coffee machine in the common area seemed to be out of milk/cream as none of the offerings involving it came out with any. The Roku TV also didn’t work in the first room. Lastly rooms were really hot. The thermostat did not allow one to adjust and the lamps gave off a ton of heat. I was really excited about the bathtub in the second room however it had a bunch of dark particles throughout so didn’t appear to be clean. Pretty good location though.

Love the location. Sitting outside on the property was peaceful and beautiful. I never bring my dogs with me, so it was nice to be able to do so, fire Reasonable fee. Like most old Inns, the walls are very thin, so guests who are inconsiderate can be an issue with slamming doors and loud voices at night. Shower stall in very tiny bathroom with sloping ceilings, no tub. It would not have been so bad, but the water pressure was non-existent unless you only used freezing cold water. Not pleasant. Room floor and rug had water bottle caps on it, not vacuumed recently or at least not well. Still waiting to hear why my receipt and what i was actually charged is off by about $80 (not in my favor). Self-serve coffee station in the lobby had little to no supplies all weekend. Nobody on the premises to help out or get anything done that you might need. For the cost of the room, nightly, was not worth what was provided.

The Hideaway Inn Franconia Notch is an old unique Inn in a spectacular setting that has seen better days. That being said, our room was large and comfortable (309), clean, and beds were fine. AC was window units that were loud but we just opened windows and were fine. We really enjoyed the mountain views (sat out on lawn in chairs), the pool table, and various games (e.g., chess), though some games have seen much better days (e.g., darts, 'bowling'). In the entry, there is coffee (push button different options) and hot water machine for tea (tea bags provided), milk in little frig, separate water dispenser with cold, sparkly, and hot water options, and a cooler with ice in packs which were all good and nice to have. Check in was definitely not smooth--we did not get code, had to call, got code but they told us wrong building, etc., so about 15 minute hassle. Great location to get to many places in White Mountains and plenty of food options within 15 minutes or less. Would say if you can accept some bumps but want a spectacular setting with some fun side options like pool then this is a great place. If you are easily annoyed and want perfection, don't stay here.

More of a hostel then inn. Not worth the price. Recently renovated, old inn with an amazing view is really missing the mark when it comes to hospitality. If you are just looking for a decent enough place to stay, it's OK. Rooms are comfortable and cutely decorated with found items and a recent coat of paint. But really nothing else that you would expect from an inn. It lacked the essence of the reason one would stay at an inn; hospitality. The check-in process was wonky, It took all day for us to get our codes to get into our room. The rooms had paper-thin walls, we felt like our neighbors were sharing our room with us. The shower had really poor pressure ( 3rd floor) and the temp. never got above cool, warm. A huge disappointment was the lack of fresh coffee service in the morning. A nice cup of coffee in a real mug over-looking the beautiful view would have been so easy of a request to fulfill. They had a coffee "machine" down in the lobby ( next to the phone you had to use to speak to someone to get any service). A gas-station convenience store type machine with paper cups. It was not cleaned out from the day before so we could not even make any coffee. Huge FAIL. It took someone 30 min. to come clean it on a Sunday morning at 9:00 am, so it would work. Luckily Polly's Pancake Parlor is close. The outside property was poorly maintained and adorned with full trash barrels in various corners. Don't expect much. The rooms and hallways were clean though,

We really enjoyed our stay! It was a really unique place-- a nice switch from the usual big chain hotels. There were cool amenities (a bowling lane, pool table, darts, etc.), and the whole property had fun, quirky decor. The only note is that the window A/C unit was quite noisy (it would startle us awake when it banged on every few minutes.)

My wife and I very much enjoyed our two-night stay. Beautiful setting, great views, proximity to good restaurants were among the positives. The only disappointment was the check-in process. With no staff around to help and our not having received the necessary information (e.g., room number) to complete our checking in, we were quite frustrated to not be able to gain access to our room until 45 minutes after arrival.
