Property itself is amazing. Well maintained, offers rich facilities, eateries & more. In room dining was always quick & well delivered. Self park & valet available for a charge. Very walkable if one avoids walking after couple blocks further south of property. Lot of homeless & crackheads but non-aggressive. Walkable to famous temple square & city creek center. Generally quiet downtown, temple square, Capitol if driving around. Plenty of parking options available. The stay made our SLC trip very memorable. Highly recommend this property.

Iā€™ve been staying at this hotel for over 20 years and it is one of my all-time favorites. A gorgeous experience, whether you go in the winter or the summer. It is an older, beautiful historical hotel that they keep up-to-date and clean and you feel so special! I will never stop going to The Grand Americs!

A bit disappointing for the price and grandeur of the hotel. They did not cater to their guests over the general population that was flooding the halls and walkways during the holiday season They also did not honor their check in time and we were not able to check in until 6 PM for our second room. That was disappointing considering we had children and dinner reservations. With that said they did acknowledge the miss and provided us a breakfast credit so that was nice.
