Important Note About North Cascades National Park:
We’re just an 11-minute drive from the western entrance of North Cascades National Park! From late November or early December through April or May, Highway 20 closes seasonally at Ross Dam Trailhead (milepost 134) on the west side and Silver Star Gate (milepost 171) on the east.
You can still access the Evergreen Cascades Cabin year-round via the west side of Highway 20. While you can’t drive all the way through North Cascades National Park in winter, you’re welcome to snowshoe in from the closure gate. Other great winter outings nearby include forest hikes in Rockport State Park (4 min away), weekend bald eagle walks at the Skagit River Interpretive Center (5 min), snow-covered trails in Mt. Baker–Snoqualmie National Forest (25 min), or a scenic drive to Diablo Lake for winter views and trailheads (about 40–45 min, weather permitting).
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
As the cabin is located in a remote, secluded area, keep in mind that there are friendly neighborhood dogs that you may see around or may pop by and say hello!
It isn't often, but there could be occasional wifi outages due to weather-related reasons. We try our best to monitor these outages, and give our guests a heads up!
The cabin is heated by a mini-split system for convenient, year-round comfort. For guests who enjoy an extra-cozy cabin experience, we also provide a wood-burning stove, firewood, fire starters, a lighter, and easy instructions. On especially chilly nights, guests who prefer a warmer indoor temperature may enjoy building a fire to supplement the heat.
HOUSE RULES:
Please use acrylic wine glasses provided when near the hot tub.
Please rinse off before using the hot tub and wear the spa shoes by the front door—this helps keep the tub in great shape during your stay.
Please use doggy blankets provided when dogs are on the couch to avoid stains and the foam mattress topper for the pull out couch is only for humans.
If you have used the outdoor dining table on the deck, please ensure it is covered before you depart. If you think it might rain during your stay please cover it to help us keep it in good condition.
We do ask that owners ensure that their pups don't wander onto our neighbor's properties as they have small children and their own dogs.
A refundable security deposit hold of $200 is charged at time of check-in.
We love this property and the Evergreen Cascades Cabin sits on 2.5 acres of beautiful forest. Part of keeping the forest healthy and cared for means occasional outdoor grounds maintenance may happen during your stay, and we’ll always let you know ahead of time :)
Please follow all rules for recreational fires - if there is a red flag warning (which isn't often), recreational fires are not allowed. Google "skagit county burn ban" for latest details.

My family-daughter(9), son (2), husband and two dogs had the best stay at this beautiful rental. Perfect spot for exploring or just staying in to enjoy the property. We definitely plans to come back!
Very nice property and we really enjoyed the waterfall with the constant sound of running water. The hot tub was great, however, it could use a new cover. The laundry wasn't working, but we didn't need it for only a 2 night stay. Very nice extra amenities and great location to the natl park. We had a great time!
We had a very great stay. The hot tub, kitchen, fire pit was phenomenal. It was worth it. The host was awesome. Made sure we had everything we need. I will highly recommend if you want to have a peaceful day away from the city and the noise. 😊😊
The cabin is located on a beautiful, private piece of land with many indoor and outdoor spaces to relax and detach the craziness of the world. The kitchen is well appointed enabling you to concoct whatever culinary delights will warm your heart. The covered hot tub is a delight at the end of a day of hiking. There is a lot of natural beauty along Highway 20. You will, of course, want to enjoy the on-property waterfall, but don't the Hegg-Benson trail along Barr Creek just up the road from the cabin. If you are looking for a place in the Highway 20 corridor, I highly recommend this one!
The property around the cabin is beautiful! The cabin was very clean and extremely well stocked. We appreciated the attention to detail to make guests feel welcome and comfortable!
Yes! The house is very well cared for and clearly loved, beautiful, well stocked, and cozy. The trail to the waterfall is so unique and beautiful. The hosts were thorough with guides and tips, and so kind and easy to get a hold of.
This place is fantastic!!! It is exactly as pictured and described. Great hot tub. Wonderful location. Attentive host. Beautiful interior and amply provisioned.
This home was absolutely perfect. Amazing setting, the property is beautiful. The private waterfall, and the one down the street were excellent. The amenities were wonderful. Beautiful and easy drive to the North Cascades. I cannot recommend this home enough.
Loved the setting. Very private. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the fire ring. Accommodated the four of us adults very nicely. Thanks for a lovely stay
I had an incredible stay at this cozy cabin. The place was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and surrounded by stunning mountain views. Waking up to the quiet beauty of the North Cascades each morning felt magical. The host added so many thoughtful touches that made the stay feel extra special and welcoming. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway with comfort and charm, this cabin is perfect. I’d happily stay here again!
All the extras, cosy feeling, everything you need and the presentation of the place was excellent. It one of the nicest cabin getaways I've had.
Recommended and worth the money!
This cabin is a dream! Plenty of space, amazing outdoor firepit and hot tub, waterfall was spectacular! Close to the park and amenities! Just book it, you will not regret it!
this property is easily the best property we've stayed in. the location, access to a private waterfall, hot tub, fire pit and overall ambience made this stay a memorable experience. the hosts were very helpful and responded very fast. overall a 10/10. thank you for this amazing trip!
This A frame was well maintained and well stocked! Coffee options were plentiful, bathrooms included extra amenities, and the grounds were well maintained. There were games for our little one and a lovely welcome from the host. Would definitely book again!!
The home was perfect for us to relax and recover after a long day of hiking the cascades. I was most surprised that the house was so close to the Cascades allowed us to have quick access for our second day of hiking. On the trail early and only saw one other set of people. My favorite was relaxing the muscles in the hot tub. Followed closely by the rustic fun uniqueness and location of the house.
Clean, quiet, and well organized property. Lots of little extra touches made it a nice place to stay. Very peaceful and secluded with a waterfall just a short walk away. The sound of the stream flowing was meditative. It was a slightly brisk morning so we jumped in the hot tub before setting out to explore Northern Cascades National Park. Host was very responsive and you can tell she likes sharing the cabin. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.
If you've spent time in this part of the country then no description needed for the surrounding beauty. This picturesque little cabin and the grounds around the property are relaxing, well-kept and totally in keeping with the Skagit/Cascade surroundings. Inside it's cozy and organized-- you can faintly hear the creek nearby! Outside it's private and lush. Pretty special spot!!
The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and communicative. They made sure my stay was extra comfy, and made sure I had everything I needed and more! The property is BEAUTIFUL, as well as the home. This was a lovely birthday getaway. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. It was such a magical experience to be able to sit in the hot tub, listening to the rain on the roof of the gazebo. The waterfall was cute, but make sure you pack proper shoes if go in the rain! The wood stove is also amazing and I loved the ambience. I can't fangirl about this place enough. Sheila and and Victor were incredible hosts and offered help with figuring out things around the property, any time I asked. They are phenomenal.
The property itself was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. The location was perfect to visit North Cascades. The primary issue we had was that we had a washer listed when we rented and there was no washing machine or dryer. As a sidenote, the downstairs bathroom sink does not function or drain. We were brushing our teeth and washing our face in the kitchen sink.
This was a great place to stay! Cute, comfortable and clean! Location is just outside the North Cascades National Park but feels very secluded. We loved discovering the private waterfall up the trail in the backyard! And the hosts have truly thought of everything! Forgot your toothbrush? In the bathroom. Separate towels for the bathroom and the awesome hot tub? Check! S’mores supplies and firewood for the fire pit outside? Yep! Want to make coffee just how you like it? Here’s four different coffee makers so you can choose your favorite method. Want to keep your feet clean walking from the house to the outdoor hot tub? Just use the water sandals in a variety of sizes kept out on the deck. The hot tub was great to soak in after a day of hiking and we enjoyed a fire (and those s’mores) one night as well. It was our favorite place to stay on our two week trip in Washington!

This place is AMAZING!! Seriously-my family’s only complaint was that we only stayed one night and it was too short. If we had any clue beforehand as to just how lovely of a place this was, we would have stayed our entire vacation here. The cabin was decorated so cute that I wanted to take pictures of all the rooms. We all love coffee and they had such a fun coffee setup with all kinds of options. The downstairs living room was so cozy and had really fun games and books that my teenage daughter commented about being a really good books. Too bad we didn’t have time to read them. I think the best way to sum up this cabin is that every detail is so thoughtfully done and welcoming. They even had a welcome basket with fun treats that we all enjoyed. The bathrooms had items just in case you forgot something which is another plus for forgetful teenagers! We so much enjoyed the place and the hot tub that we didn’t even explore the outside until the following morning. Ugh!!! We shouldn’t have waited. We were blown away by the beauty of the waterfalls. Washington state is full of beautiful places but this place was more than exceptional. It was very sad to leave this place. I have traveled all over the world and this was one of the prettiest places and best accommodations I can remember. My whole family agrees!
