Our check it was easy and the room was very nice and most importantly, very clean! We loved the rooftop bar & restaurant- it was very nice to end our days up there with the amazing view! The 3rd floor lounge area was very nice to have - what a great surprise! The staff were always very helpful also. I can’t wait to return! Only one negative…I wish the bar were open just a little earlier in the evening.

It’s is centrally located close to happening places and various attractions, yet it is a quiet oasis. The staff is very helpful and friendly. My son and I really enjoyed our stay at The Gate Hotel Kyoto. The location is excellent, with convenient access to shops, restaurants, nightlife, and public transportation, including both bus and metro stations. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. One of the highlights was the bar and lounge area on the third floor, which offers complimentary non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee and tea, snacks, and even free wine during designated hours. It was a wonderful place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Most importantly, the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Their outstanding service made our visit even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend The Gate Hotel by HULIC to anyone visiting Kyoto.

This is a great location walking to Temples, restaurants and shopping. I won ever stay in a different location. Staff accommodating, and rooms clean. Amenities worth it!
