The staff was so friendly and inviting. Very clean room the TV wasn’t very useful and attached to an odd spot of the room but didn’t really matter to us. Great location to amphitheater 15 min walk or 6 min scooter.
Quiet room all night, great meal and friendly staff. A welcoming bath, spacious area..., don't need much else- Thanks to your team !!
Really enjoyed the decor too, we felt special.
Super nice hotel and the location is ideal. HUGE - I mean enormous rooms. Bar/ restaurant downstairs well done and maintained (but closes at 9:30pm) but there's a lovely brew pub around the corner with 50+ drafts and yummy food (and a roof top bar next door too). It will be my new go-to in Richmond
We had an excellent stay. The Commonwealth is a perfect combination of new and freshly remodeled, while also offering real charm and historical tradition. We booked a suite, which was fantastic as it allowed out 18-year-old son (who just started his Freshman year at the University of Richmond) to sleep in the pull-out sofa bed on two nights. This allowed my wife and me to spend some great "late night" time catching up with him before we turned in. Anton at the bar was excellent, offering great conversation alongside awesome drinks.
Place was immaculately clean, easy to get to staff and the staff was fantastic. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a visit to Richmond, Virginia.
Everyone was friendly. My room was insanely large. The bar/restaurant looked nice however I didn't visit. Adjacent to the capitol complex and downtown.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. The room was spacious and well appointed. We had a corner room with plenty of windows and light. It was also quiet and away from the elevator/traffic. My only complaint is that the in-room air conditioning unit was very loud and disruptive to our sleep. Otherwise, we had a delightful stay.
This is a lovely hotel right in Downtown Richmond, adjacent to the Commonwealth House and many bars/restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very large, well-appointed, and clean. Highly recommend.
